About Our Group Rides

Riding with a group is a great way to improve your cycling skills and your fitness all while making new friends and meeting new people.  Central Wheel’s group rides have started, and we have enough organized rides to cover every type of rider. Please choose the ride that is right for you. If you are unsure which is ride is right for you, ask someone at the shop. Central Wheel wants the ride to be enjoyable for all the participants, including the ride leaders.

  • Ride Leader Fun- Riding with the group because everyone in the group wants to and can maintain the advertised speed.
  • Ride Leader Un-Fun- Not riding with the group because someone chose the wrong ride, causing a deviation from the advertised speed, whether faster or slower.

It is necessary that everyone point out cracks, holes, and debris on the roads. We also must ride defensively with cars and among ourselves. Safety is first and foremost, hold your line, don’t cross wheels, and no weaving or abrupt moves. We need to ride single file as much as possible and NEVER cross the yellow line. We represent cycling to our community, lets do it right. GIVING RESPECT, GETS RESPECT.

It is every body’s responsibility to be self supported. All riders should have spare tube, inflation device or pump, tire levers, hex wrench set or multi tool,  water, and energy food. Cell phones are also great to have in case of a emergency, but doesn’t replace your repair kit. Even if you are unsure on how to change your flat someone in the group will know how and help you out.
